Getting closer to being up to date...Reece's 2nd Christmas!
Now an almost-2-year-old who loves art and cooking, Mom and Dad put some energy into the magic of Christmas traditions. Here are some ways that December was full of the holiday spirit for Reece and examples of how we kept our cool under messy circumstances!
| The giant snowman at Slater Park in Pawtucket, where Reece also got to meet Santa! |
| Gingerbread house decorating - this year from a kit, but eventually we'll tackle it from scratch. |
| Our masterpiece. Reece made it through without eating a single candy - he didn't realize they were food! |
| An experienced play-dough chef, Reece rolled our dough for Christmas cookies. |
| Decorating and trying to eat cookies before Mom can stop him. |
| Decorating a "ginger baby" given to us by our neighbors Michelle and Alan. |
As unbelievable as it is, we don't have pictures of Reece opening presents on Christmas morning. There may be some photos and videos in the hands of the grandparents, but we were too busy enough containing an excited toddler to take pictures. Christmas morning, day, and the day after (when the Porter family celebrated) was a huge success. Reece was spoiled rotten with so many fun gifts but wasn't present-crazy. He really wanted to play with each thing he opened - we had to keep encouraging him to open another one or we would have been at it for a week!
Santa knows best though. He had seen Dad and Reece playing lots of guitar and made sure that the little man got one just his size.
